The Organisation

The Universitat de Barcelona (UB) is the largest and oldest university in Catalonia. The UB is an important centre of university research in the South of Europe and it has become a European benchmark for research activity, both in terms of the number of research programmes it conducts and the excellence these have achieved. Since 2010 UB has been a member of LERU. The UB’s Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) was created at the start of 2004 to adapt the university libraries to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Research Area (ERA), in which a new framework of university teaching is taking shape, based on learning, research, development and innovation.

UB leads the LEARN work package 4 ‘Assessment of Impact’ aimed at establishing a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the recommendations of the original LERU Roadmap and the new Toolkit. In this work package we will also create an online questionnaire to establish the impact that the LERU Roadmap and the Toolkit are having on research institutions.
